Biography:

Nuesslein was a World War I veteran who shot competitively in the early 20th Century. Aside from his competitive shooting career, Nuesslein also loved spending time hunting both small game and in the field. As he aged, he moved into benchrest competition and participated with many close friends.

He was also the manager of the Sears Roebuck store in Allentown, Pennsylvania from 1929-1951. He was a former president of the Allentown Kiwanis Club, chairman of the Allentown Chamber of Commerce, head of the Allentown Defense Council in 1941, and the co-chairman of the Lehigh County Civilian Defense Council in 1942.

Nuesslein was married to Madeline, with whom he had their children Lawrence Jr., Lorraine, Margaret, and Anna. He also had seven grandchildren when he passed at 75.
